The bad news: It’s raining. A lot. All North Branch River Park trails are closed to wheeled traffic until the ground and trail surface refreeze. Staying off the trails right now is important so as not to create deep tracks in the snow, which will then freeze solid and are difficult or impossible for our hard-working volunteers to groom out.
The good news: this shouldn’t take too long. With this weather roller coaster, temperatures are forecast to drop in to the low 20s by Saturday AM and the low teens by Sunday AM, so hopefully we’ll be able to reopen most of them soon.
Keep and eye on the conditions page of our website for trail updates, and pray to Ullr for snow and cold to return quickly!
